Cracks in ceiling

Hi i'm just wondering how to fix these cracks in the ceiling, there not level either side, they protrude and look quite deep. Complete beginner at this. Thanks.

On the positive side, they don't look too bad. Cracks will be caused by movement and the treatment really depends upon how much movement there is in the ceiling. Try giving it a gentle push (from below obv), see what happens and report back.

Could you tell us how old the house is and/or what kind of plaster it is.
