I live in a house aprox 200 years old but renovated continuously. In one room the previous occupier exposed some of the original stone work - very attractive but the walls seem to shed stone dust onto the skirting board below. There is no damp but large lorries come very close to the house ( within inches ) to negotiate the road. Is there a product available to seal the walls and stop the dust?

Yes there is a solution that will stabilize the dust.

But you could consider a coat of PVA, only thing is it dries shinny!
