Just changed my built-in washing machine and now the holes in my kitchen door which attach to the machine don't line up.

The problem is if I re-drill the door, I think its a 36mm hole, the new holes will over lap the original holes.

Is there a solution to this?
Can I fill the original holes with something and then re-drill?

Thanks.

The size of the hole will be either 28mm or 35mm. You can cut a piece of timber to the approximately the correct size to suite the existing hole. An example would be 30mm dia x 10mm thick. Set this pellet in the existing hole securing it with a two pack filler, the filler will act as adhesive as well as taking up any gaps. Clean of the excess filler when set and then re-drill the holes in the new position.

Have a look at page 3 of this guide, the process is much the same.
