I'm planning (after I've laid the new wood floor) on building cupboards and shelves into the alcoves on either side of my chimney breast, I want the cupboards to project slightly, and the TV will sit on the cupboard top, under the first bookshelf. The bookshelves will be the same depth as the alcove.
I wonder if anybody could direct me to any plans of such a construction, free or otherwise, as I'm sure I'll overlook something vital...
It's a fairly low ceiling, so I was planning on going right to the top, with the coving running straight across. Any advice would be welcomed.
