Im fitting a cooling fan to my AV cabinet, mainly to assist in cooling a PS4 games console. However the PS4 doesnt have a "switched" USB outlet , they are permenatly live when the console is in standby and hence the fans will remain on all the time.
So Is there a device/relay type of unit that will sense the PS4 switiching on, and then close a contact for the independent USB cooling fan to switch on, and off etc etc. Id rather not use a thermostat as it would be too course in its on/off settings.

A desk fan will be hard to fit into an AV cabinet, might be better to use a switch like above to power a 12v PSU that's running some large super quiet PC fans.
