I have a LECICO close coupled dual flush cystern which on occasions overflows because the buttons do not seem to seat properly.

I have tried spraying them with siicon spray but the trouble still exists .I wonder if the fault is inside the cystern any ideas please.

have you a pic of the flush valve your cistern has ?

is it operated by cable or direct to the flush valve ?

It is a cable operateted Jollyfill bottom inlet valve.I have noticed the fault occurs only when both buttons are accidently pushed together. To rectify this you have to wiggle both buttons gently to make them reseat otherwise the internal over flow will keep running Any ideas thanks again

jollyfill inlet valve is the inlet valve not the flush valve.

just sounds like the buttons are getting stuck.
sometimes the cables get stiff with limescale you can lift the lid off and disconnect the cable mech from the bottom of the buttons.
you can open the part that fits the the buttons where the cable attaches
and spray wd etc down the cable etc and operate it by hand make sure its free.
it's only like a pushbike brake cable.

as for the buttons theirs not much to check with them just make sure they slide up/down easy and no rough edges.

make sure the cable mech is secured fully back on the bottom of the buttons.
