I have a concrete kitchen floor that is slightly damp over basically the whole surface, there is also a little damp on one of the walls also that is a party wall.
It smells though having removed the lino it may just dry a bit and smell less, it was pretty rank when the tenents moved out and It had not been brought to my attention. Who knows what I pay the agent for...
Easy answer is to paint with a sealant, probably bitumen based, put some underlay down and re lay some lino. My question is how likely is this just to force water up all the adjoining walls creating rising damp.
completely at a loss what else to do other than seal and would like some opinions to temper any builders opinions/quotes.
