Can anyone offer any advice on following problem.

Last year we replaced vinyl flooring as vinyl went black and looked as though we'd had a water leak somewhere. However it has happened again and the vinyl is damp underneath and has gone black again.

We have checked there is no leak from our appliances, back door etc but can't see why this keeps happening. We had a kitchen extension five years ago and someone has told us that perhaps a damp proof course was not put down. The probelm with the vinyl flooring only occurs on the new extention side.

Any advice would be most apprectaed.
Thanks

Well im suprised that if it is a damp problem that it would go black in just a year. Sounds more like a leek. Are all pipes above the the floor or buried underneath the concrete? What about drainage?
