Hi Guys,

I'm a spark so this is not my field.

I live in a rented house where the Landlord had Double glazed units fitted a few months ago. Since then, damp has started to appear on the walls in the dormer and parts of the cieling. This is in all the rooms where the units have been fitted.

Can anyone help please.

Alan

We have had condensation problems since having new windows and you have got the same problem, your old drafty windows helped ventalation in each room. So you need to improve ventalation such as air vents, leave windows open during the day or buy a dehumidifier.

Condensation does not go away once DG units are fitted

The moisture that used to condense on the single pane of glass, now finds another cold surface to condense on instead.

Ventilation is needed or the dormer cheeks and ceiling need insulating
