Damp Patch on Wall

I have a wet patch above the window frame on the ground floor. Firstly, I know that the wall needs striping back, protective seal adding and repainting, I plan to do this in the summer once it's dried out. I have tried filling in a crack above the window (circled) in the meantime but the patch continues to spread so unsure exactly where the water is getting in - There is a crack near the gutters circled where water may be getting through but can't confirm. - Any suggestions?

Secondly, the wall looks soaking wet whenever it rains. I've had a look at gutters from the angles in the photos but can't spot anything obviously wrong. What could be causing this or is it normal?

1890's stone terrace house.

Thanks

Bumping for a response.

The patch has spread slightly the last few days after having stayed the same for around 3 weeks.

Cement render? trapping moisture. Wall needs to breath and air.
You need to get specific advice

I’ve lived here for 2 years and it’s been fine until now. Yes will likely need to.

Just wanted to know if gutters can be damaged without it being obvious I.e I can’t see water running down the wall when it rains.

since learned that the wall should not be painted as it’s trapping moisture. Been using a scraper to remove by hand but it’s a slow process and some parts are difficult/impossible to remove.

Any suggestions to speed up the process?
