Hi All,

There is slight rising damp in two opposite corners on the wall of my front room, about a 1 foot triangle. I realise this isn't the correct thing to do, but I want to simply seal the water back. Can anyone suggest the best quick method, perhaps silicon liquid or paint? (Over plaster, before papering)

Also in a single skin wall at the rear, the bottom 18 inches is very damp, I also want to seal it back, perhaps tar paint. (I have done injecting before, and understand I need to remove the plaster first, before tarring.

Next year, I'll consider proper solutions, like injecting.

Cheers, Camerart.
