Danfoss HSA 3 way valve

Hello can anybody advise me of the configuration of the valve, I am fairly sure the motorised part of the valve isn't working correctly. So I have removed the head and would like to know which way the flat should be on the valve stem to feed the hot water the heating and heating +hot water.
The head only goes vertical or horizontal with the flat down.
I hope this makes sense to somebody and would be gratefull for some advise.

Makes sense but I can never remember which way is which.

I suggest with system cold start boiler up and turn spindle so you can feel which way the hot water goes. This will then tell you which way is ch & dhw.

Cheers Dave I have just found some discussions from 2003 which has convinced me the head is slipping therefore knackered, so my next step is to get another head.

For future reference I will find out which way is up and post it for others .
