On my 1st floor, the bricks (now exposed and plaster removed) are very crumbly and sandy- I cant fix anything to them via nail or screw without the bricks crumbling.
I had planned to batten the walls to install new drylining but now I do not see how this is possible.
I thought about strengthening the brick face with an epoxy paint, but obviously this will do nothing once a nail has penetrated 12.5 mm or more.
Any suggestions? replastering may not be an option because of wall moisture problems and the old plaster crumbled off anyway.
Thanks.
