Last time I decoratyed the lounge one weall had a fire place next to it with a corner plinth for the telly, this has since been removed but obviously has the old paint job there. My problem is that after stripping the rest of the cement that was on the wall where the wall was attached I now have two different layers, one the top where I used basecoat and paint and the bottom which has neither. Would it be just as easy to use thin lining paper to negotiate this difference or strip the entire wall back? I am going to lining paper it all anyway.
