I have an inspiron 8500 and am having difficulties changing the keyboard settings. It has a touchpad thingy that you use as a mouse but the settings (sensitivity etc) seem to have changes and I can't change them back.

I'm sure I used to be able to access these settings through the control panel but there doesn't seem to be anything there now.

Try going into Start->Control Panel->Printers and other hardware.

Select keyboard and mouse, see if you can change the settings from here, assuming you are using XP
