I have a kitchen light operated by 2 switches, one in the kitchen and one in the dining room. I just wanted to be able to dim this light from one of these switches. Can I just unstall a 2 way dimmer on the one switch or do I need to do other things? Thanks for any and all assistance!

I'd think the easiest thing to do is replace one of your 3 way switches with a 3 way dimmer switch, and leave the other one as a regular 3 way switch. And don't go cheap on the dimmer, higher-quality dimmers increase the lifespan of your light bulbs and don't make as much noise when they're set very dim.

it really is a simple as you say. but do make a note of which wire (s) go where BEFORE you take switch off, and of course turn the mains off first
