Hi, I am trying to swap an existing dimmer switch for a new one, but because the markings on the back of the new switch differ from those on the old one, I am unsure of how to wire it up.

The existing switch has the squiggly line, L1 and L2. The new switch has the squiggly line, Sw and L.

Could someone please explain how the 'SW' and 'L' markings correspond to the old switch markings.

Thanks.

squiggly line = 'L'
L1 = 'SW'
