How can I reset the PCB programme on this dishwasher after a power cut.
I paid over £60 for this to be corrected and would like to be able to deal with this problem myself. Any help would be appreciated

You shouldn't need to reset anything at all after a power cut. The machine should start up where it left off once power is restored. Diplomat is a badged make & this one appears to be produced by Whirlpool. To reset a whirlpool dishwasher press & hold the start button for min 3 seconds until the pump kicks in. I suspect there may be more than a reset issue behind this...

Thank you. The machine was stuck on second from right light, flashing and after testing other things he reset the PCB programme and it has been fine ever since. He blamed it on a power cut which is why I would like to be able to reset it myself if this should happen again. He thought the machine was a SMEG. I am a woman in late 70's so not very mechanically minded!

If it does turn out to be Smeg then it would have a different reset procedure. That is the problem with Diplomat...it is just a badge. The machine could be made by any number of manufacturers. Post what it says on the door sticker, there should be a cross reference to the manufacturer there.

Thank you once again for your reply. The number on the door of the dishwasher is Type 12150. It was made in Italy and next to this is a triangle with VDE in and next to it 'C E'. I do hope this is sufficient information for you to identify the make of machine.

Thank you very much for your helpful suggestion. I have made a note of the instructions but hope that I will not have to 'try them out'.
