Choosing the name Macplumbing implies to the reader that you are a plumber doing this for your customers.
So what?

If that was the case then I am less inclined to advise a plumber who is clearly not sufficiently experienced to solve simple problems like that.
Then why bother posting? Just let other people give the advice that you don't want to. gas4you was coping perfectly well without your oar being stuck in.

Few professionals seem to understand how to do power flushing properly.
Especially those who think that it's primarily a show for the customer.

cold water tank is being back filled from feed to cylinder and tank keeps overflowing. house has three mixer taps and washing machine.
Turn off cold mains and observe cold storage cistern level. If it stops filling then one of your three mixers has unbalanced supplies (inadvisable) and is faulty.

thanks fellas. could i fit a check valve on hot feed from cold tank rather than on individual taps or is this a no no? i only ask cause bath mixer is a bitch to get to , means removing toilet and basin.
regards, mark.
