Hi,

Simple question really - our washing machine outflows into a vertical drain pipe with a hose which looks like this:

I want to install a (tabletop) dishwasher and dump the hose down the same drain. Its hose will probably look a lot smaller than this one, and it won't have the same large "pointed" attachment at the end. When I've installed dishwashers in the past, I've been able to plug them into a sink outflow pipe with a Y connector, but this is nowhere near a sink. Arguably though, it should be simpler, but the hose above doesn't have any spare room for another pipe.

Can anyone recommend which connector I should use to allow both pipes to feed into the same drain?

Thanks very much

Will

You can make your own connection with a 'T' and a 90 degree bend to create a second vertical pipe parallel to the first, or use one of these to connect into the vertical pipe. Mount it fairly low down, so that it doesn't splash out the open end.
