I am trying to connect my dishwasher's drain hose to the under-sink drain.
They are roughly the same size and the drain connector bit only goes into the hose a couple millimetres, not enough to hold it in. I understand that there is a rubber hose thingy that goes over both of them, secured with some metal holder ring. Is that so, and if so what is that rubbery thing called and where can I buy it? Would it be available in big chain stores (such as Wickes or Homebase)?
Thanks

Thanks, that looks like what I need.
My dishwasher isn't Bosh, it's a Hotpoint Aquarius. I guess the hose would be the same size?
I tried finding a smaller connector to fit into the hose but I can't find anything in the main stores

Or hacksaw the grey plastic bit of the end and then it'll push over the spigot and just secure it via a jubliee clip?

That was my first thought, but then both the hose and the spigot are plastic so I thought that would leak without some washer to make it watertight.
