This is a built in appliance with no lights etc visible from outside.

The DW begins it's cycle and fills with water and then about 2-3 minutes in (at the point I assume where the rotating sprinklers should start?) there is a fairly loud continual buzzing and nothing else happens. I have tried different temperatures, cleaned the filter etc but the problem persists. I am at least able to re set the machine which then drains the water away. If it's of any help the first time this happened I noticed that the water was warm indicating that it was being heated.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

Blockage in the wash pump, faulty wash pump motor, faulty capacitor if fitted.

Thank you for your quick reply Sleepyhead.

Now for the silly question; is the pump located at the back of the machine and would I need a qualified engineer if replacement is required?
