Prices of conservatorys are expensive and l would like to ask if it's possible to do a diy conservatory with materials bought from bq/wickes or building merchants. l've seen some prices of double glazed windows at wickes and would like a conservatory of 8x6 or 9x9 but how would l go about fixing the windows and doors together can you buy the pvc assembly parts seperate and where could l buy these.. and best places to buy windows and doors/roof. l would like to assembly a dwarf wall conservatory and abit of info and advice how to do one from the foundations to completion would be helpful.

Best place to source these materials would be a place that manufactures PVC doors, windows etc..., they will do them made to measure, so you need drawings and measurements.
Don't know where you live, but there loads near me that do this stuff.
Other alternative is wooden frames so good joiner will be needed or again someone who was a workshop and makes them.

Thought about using pvc doors and windows a dwarf wall built and using polycarbonate sheets for roofing and the frame built of wood as l go along fixing the windows and doors in. Honest opinions, how do you think this would look .

Wickes sell theirs in kit form.
Ours went up three years ago and with reasonable DIY skills, and reasonable brick laying skills if you want dwarf walls, they are simple to put up - imagine BIG meccano set (ours fillled half of a double Garage to 4ft deep when the boxes were delivered.
Would not really consider designing/selecting components myself unless you want a simple shape - Ours is a "P" and has some very custom parts, especially on the valley.
