Hence DIYnot in Germany is seen as DIY emergency which reading some of the requests for help is most appropriate.
And going back to my youth UK soldiers and others coming home from then occupied post war Germany bought back electrical appliances and wondered why they were giving electrical shocks when connected with a UK plug. One of the "standards" for mains cable in Germany then was red for the earth wire.
