Hi there,
This has probably been covered elsewhere but I need a quick answer so any help recieved I will be very grateful for.

Basically im redecorating my bedroom and ive stripped the old wallpaper down and I want to repaint, the house is 1970's and the plaster has been up for the past 10 years as far as I know, possibly longer.

Do I need to reseal this plaster before I paint over it with emulsion.

Many thanks,
Rhys

You dont need to 're seal' it as such Rhys but one thing you must make sure you do is scrub the walls thoroughly making sure you get rid of all traces of the old pastes which have soaked into the surface..if you dont the paint will peel

As for sealing..you will need to give the bare plaster a mist coat first...thinn your first coat out by 25-30% water.
