I am currently burning off and rubbing down old paintwork. The knots were treated, probably in the 60's when the house was built.
Do I need to use knotting solution on these previously treated knots?

Thanks in advance for any advice

If you were sanding the paint away, I would say no, but because you are burning it off, as per @Nige F 's advice, it might be prudent to use knotting solution. The heat may reduce the viscosity of the old sap around the knot (making it runnier).
