Thanks, I just spoke to the neighbours and they are OK with taking the stack down if it’s necessary. I will try again to find a decent, honest roofer who can check the work done and put right any damage without sucking through their teeth and telling me to replace the whole thing.
Advice here has been fantastic today, much appreciated and I feel a little more confident that a new roof is not necessary at this point.
