My bath has ways taken ages to fill, so I did a scientific test yesterday and timed how long it took to fill a 1 litre jug from both the cold tap & hot tap (Vailant combo boiler)...

Cold tap = 3 seconds (20 litres/min)
Hot tap = 6 seconds (10 litres/min)

Do those flow rates sound acceptable?

Its recommended that a bath gives about 12 litres per minute.

But most combi boilers will only give about 9 litres per minute.

Its what YOU consider as acceptable that is important.

Different systems give different fill rates.

Thanks. I assume there isnt much that can be done to improve my water flow. I guess the hot water is restricted by my boiler, and the cold is down to the water supply pressure?
