Hi,

I am looking at putting a metal stud wall up with a doorway. I am confused on the lining size.

The studs come in two widths 50 or 70 mm. Assuming 12.5 mm plasterboard on either side plus 3mm for plaster. I think that is a wall of either 81 or 101 mm.

Standard door linings sizes don't seem to match. I hope this is something to do with the way that timber seems to have two different dimensions, advertised as 75x50 can actually be 42x69 finished size. Sure this is just done to confuse me!

Hopefully someone can tell me what depth (I assume it is depth) door lining would fit a wall built with 50mm metal stud and same for one with a 70mm stud.

Sorry for my ignorance and thanks for any help given.

Cheers

Pat.

Either cut down linings [106mm closest] or make up you own, very simple.
