door lock cable.

hi, my son has a merc vito van/ 01 reg. the cable that opens door on passenger side snapped.
he got a new one , we took door trim off, and know where it goes in through the hole is in the door where the white plastic outer locks into / but just cannot see where the inner cable hooks into ?
anyone done one ? or can advise, cheers. r.r.

hi, pleased to say its now sorted/ so for anyone who might get same problem, undo the 3 screws that hold lock in place/ drop the lock downward and remove [ it isnt directly connected to outside door handle ] then clip inner cable into the hole on lock where the little bit of white plastic is/ and then clip outer back in to its holding slot/........feed cable back into the hole in door also feeding lock back into place at same time, put the 3 screws back in lock/...........relace door trim after conecting cable to the inside door catch release. then finish clipping panel into place . and any screws. job done./ regards. r.r.
