DOOR OPENING SIZE HELP PLEASE

Hi we are joining 2 room together and felt we wanted to close the existing door opening and open up a new double door opening.

The size of the double doors we have picked is 54" or 1372mm but how much do I allow for the frame etc, what is the normal cut out you would do to end up with being able to use 54" of doors?

Also what height do I cut out?

Any help/advice appreciated.

Your door liners will normally be about 32mm, so 32mm x 2 (+1372mm) and about 10mm for hinges and door gap. So about 1446mm
