my front door (inward opening) has a weather seal at the bottom threshold in the form of a 'rubber' flexible strip mounted on a metal (I believe) carrier. The flexible strip butts up against the bottom outside face of the door when closed (i.e. it does not go UNDER) preventing drafts. (Similar in function to a Weatherstop garage door seal, but on the outside). As the door is in a porch, I am not worried about rain.

The flexible strip has warn away in the middle I want to replace it with the same, if possible. This would reduce the carpetary needed if using some other solution The strip carrier is about 4.5cm wide and the flexible strip itself about half that.

I cannot find this anywhere. Does anybody have any suggestions?

thanks

iirc isnt it called a 'storm sill' ?

Maybe, but if you google 'storm sill' you get a variety of complex aluminium strips that generally go under the door as well as in front, presumably to make a good daught AND waterproof seal. And also a trip hazard, which would need some mm taken off the bottom of the door to fit.

The current strip is simple, very low profile, and not a trip hazard.

A simple rain deflector would make it rain-proof (if I needed that)
