Hi there

Our back door which is about 15 years old is letting in a serious draft at the bottom. I've attached a picture to show what's going on. Looks like the rubber seal on the threshold strip has given up the ghost. What I'm wondering is, can I just replace the rubber seal and if so, with what product or is it better to buy and fit a new threshold strip that comes with seals already attached. If it is a whole new strip that's needed, are they easy enough to fit? IMG_20260107_114200922_HDR.jpg

You would need to pull that strip out, to get an idea of the correct profile, but they sell lots of replacement strips on Ebay. Sometimes, there is a wider gap, in part of the slot, to allow the strips to be removed and replaced. If you track down the correct strip, get enough to replace it a few times, for in the future. Tracking down the make/model, might prove easier, to get the strip from the manufacturer.

Hard to say, it's not a generic threshold like an Exitex as the black end caps seem to be profile specific where they're screwed in to the inside, that said it may have generic 'flipper' gaskets, if you could pull one end out and photograph the cross section it would help, also a photo of the glazing bead on the inside would help me ID the profile system so I can check their low thresholds, at first glance nothing springs to mind though
