Dot and Dab onto Bonding

Just a quick question, can you Dab and Dot onto “hardwall” bonding , I have done a search but not found the answer .

yes you can, but why not skim over it?

Thanks John for your Reply, i am boarding a room out in an old cottage that has been extended at some point. Where the old bricks meet the newer there is miss-match which i think is too much to build up with “dri wall adhesive” so was going to fill it out with some bonding 1st. The area is only around 600mm x 800 so not that much. There was ordinal concrete render on their covering it all up which i have removed.
