Hi All,

I've been looking to buy hardwood back garden door that is double glazed. found one but is expensive. So I thought I would get this one from wickes, as it's the same style as the one I have at the moment.

My question is would it be possible to replace the glass in the door at the moment with a toughened double glazed glass panel?

The doors thickness is 44mm, Normally the door that is single glazed has wooden strips that hold the glass in place using nails.

Is this same method used with installing double glazing?

what is the max thickness between the frame and beads (strips) you will need at least 14mm

:) I've just found a door at a good price. But it's a stained glass... would that look odd for a back door?
