Dpc and patio height

Hi guys
Looking for anyone who has had the same issue I’m having with dpc levels and patio height.
As you can see by the photos the footing is one brick below dpc.
I was thinking to install a shallow aco along the top of the footing tight to the building but this will only leave approx 20mm from the top of the aco to the dpc.
Leaving a gravel gap personally sounds like a bodge job it’s not going to drain anywhere as the concrete footing there.
Any advice would be appreciated.

I'm sure an Aco drain can handle a greater volume of water than gravel, but how much water are you actually expecting there? Does your patio fall away from the house?
Using gravel instead of solid paving up against a wall is to prevent rainwater bouncing up and passing the DPC, not necessarily carrying water away.
