Drainage - Which expert?

Our 1980's bungalow was a self build by a previous owner and I beleive that the drains were a cowboy job.

I do need some work on them, possibly replacing 2 or 3 of the manhole/access points. Most of the drainage companies seem to be primarily interested in high cost clearing of drains.

Would I be better finding a builder or drianage repair company?

Aye definitely a builder, a 'drainage expert' will (probably) fleece you like you cannot imagine!

if its a public sewer on your land. and it is faulty hang on in there until the first of october and then call the water company up....
