Draining heating circuit on combi

Hi,

When draining down the heating circuit on my combi boiler system do I need to close the flow and return valves on the boiler first? I don't usually but just wanted to check this is correct?

You don't have to but if you still want to use the hot water then closing the valves will make the boiler still output hot water.
