Hi, I have a garden below road level, and bounded by a bank. The bank has numerous small 'streams' coming onto the land and one area is a problem. Years back, I tried to install slotted drains in chippings, but that's obviously clogged. It won't take me much to dig out and connect to a much bigger land drain; but how should I close it up?

Any advice gratefully accepted. Cheers

CG

I'll get a pic on soonest.

charliegolf. good evening.

Suggest you Google "Geotextile Material" this membrane allows water to pass but retains mud and small particles thus the chips in the drain track as well as the perforated drain remains "relatively" clear

The material is placed into the excavation in one piece covering the base and both sides, insert some chips then the drain top of with chips and wrap the material over the top of the chips.
