I have two cold radiators which are fitted with Drayton thermostats (TRV4)

One has a warm pipe feeding the radiator on the thermostat side and the other has a warm feeder pipe on the other (locks shield) end.

I have read that the pin in the thermostat may be stuck down and that this is reached by "taking the head of the thermostat off".

How do you do this? (Please keep the instructions detailed and very simple!)

Is there any problem that the water will come out in taking the head off??

Thanks

You take the head off by unscrewing the knurled ring.

When its off you can see the pin and can test it by pushing it down. Doing that a few times might free it up if it were stuck but the usual solution on a plain Drayton TRV is to replace with an up to date TRV4 as they rarely jam.
