About 2 months ago I had a new ball cock and valve fitted in the water tank (because the overflow was dripping). The same thing is happening again when the boiler is fired up. Any suggestions?

When the boiler fires up the water in the system will expand up into the header tank by approx 2-3".
New ball valve has probably been set too high and needs adjusting so tank level cold is lower.
One wonders if you needed new ball valve in the first place
