If I were to have a large area paved or concreted over, I'd need drainage gulleys and a soak away.

However, if the area has a rain water drain, can the gulleys be directed into there instead of finding/creating the soak away?

Thanks.

If your current stormwater goes to a soakaway then yes, but you may then be overloading the soakaway and need to replace it with a larger one.

If the existing gulleys drain into a combined system then no you can not

No it's because its illegal.

I doubt you'd go to prison for it though.
