I am looking to replace a recently installed wet ridge on a loft conversion with a dry system. Reasons being for increased ventilation as i know the cold roof has inadequate ventilation space, and already seeing cracks in the cement.
Looking at the end you can see the ridge is lopsided as the flat roof is near level. On the flat roof side how would you address the membrane to stop water potentially blowing underneath, stick it down with something? Or is it a bad idea to start with? Would vented tiles wet fixed be better?

At the other end I don't like the look of the chimney attachment. Anyone know whats went on here and what's the best solution to it?

Ridge tiles should not be used there.

What is the pitch of the roof?

Working in a restricted space to get the measurements crudely I calculated 36 degrees. It's more likely to be 35.

I had a look at other lofts in the area and I saw a couple like this with the dormer almost level - so not uncommon it seems. I saw a few with a lower dormer or slightly higher ridge and it looks a better idea to be fair.

Looks like they tilted the ridge over to get over the flat roof ..
Cra ppy idea .without seeing more of what you have there it's all guess work . Ridge over flat roof would need one side cut off to enable the main ridge to sit central , even if you cut the ridges as I said a dry fix could still be used .
And of course the back edge of the flat roof could be modified so no ridge over the flat roof section would be needed

A couple of good options I could use. Thanks for the responses.
