Dulux Endurance paint on bare plaster disaster

Help! I have now realised I have done a very stupid thing!
I had a chimney breast taken out and plastered over over a year ago and am only just getting around to actually decorating it. So I was painting the ceiling with some white Dulux endurance paint (yes I know it’s an expensive option but it was left over from a previous project) and I stupidly painted over the bare plaster with the endurance paint. And I put a really lovely thick coat on it as of course it sank right in!
I gather it will probably flake off. What can I do please?

You might be fine and have no issues with it but, in general, a watered down 'mist coat' is recommended to stop the bare plaster absorbing all the moisture from the first coat of whatever paint is applied. If it has covered well and is sound, just leave it. The only time you may encounter an issue is when you redecorate and you find the paint begins to peel as you apply new. Also, if there is a moisture/condensation issue in the room, you could find that the paint will begin to bubble/blister on it's own, in due course.

Bottom line: Don't worry about it now and just deal with it if/when necessary.
