I have just had a 'shell' building for downstairs toilet completed by a builder, and I am completing all the plumbing, tiling and plastering myself to reduce cost and something to do.
I had the drawing done by architect, he showed a stub stack outside, and plans approved by council, however when building inspector visited to inspect drains,he said I have to mount Durgo valve on the inside, because it could freeze outside and may not work.
I don't have a great deal of space to mount 110 pipework up the inside of this small room.
Would it be permissable to use a smaller pipework, say 50mm also 50mm Durgo valve?.
If so I could use a 50mm boss connection straight off the top of the horizontal 110 pipe that is going straight outside behind the toilet.
Thanks
Gordon

Not as far as I know.

Only ever seen 110mm fitted to wc stub stacks.

Smaller ones are usually for sinks etc I believe.
