Hi
18 months ago I purchased a new LG DTR389 DVD Recorder. It records and plays back perfectly. I sent a recorded DVD to my nephew in Australia and he said it was fine.
I've given two recorded DVD's to my neighbour - she has a Sony DVD player - and the DVD's play perfectly.
I sent a recorded DVD to friends (one in the UK - Philips player - and one in Germany - Panasonic player) and neither can play them.
I've used DVD+R and -R discs. I've used Verbatim, Sony, Maxell and Philips DVD's. I've manually finalised the discs and let the LG Recorder do it automatically. Nothing makes any difference.
Why can some players play my recorded DVD's and some can't?
How can I ensure that any DVD I record on is 'playable' on any machine?
Your thoughts would be appreciated!
