e-mail failure notification

Hi,

Running Windows 7 (64).
On windows live mail if I mistype the email address the e-mail still gets sent and then a copy appears in the sent items folder. I never get a "failed to send" notification so am none the wiser.
Is there some settings I can alter to bring this problem to light?

Perhaps you mis-typed the email address, but the email address is valid (means someone else got an email intended for someone else. Sometimes I have mis typed an email address and the email has been sent, only to find a few hours later I get an email from the postmaster@ *****.com telling me the email is undeliverable, please check the address .

Send it with a read notification on it.

I added 10 extra vowels to my e-mail addy and sent my self an e-mail. According to the system all went well

Perhaps there's a black hole in the centre of the internet, that sucks in undeliverable emails.
