Thanks everyone for responding to my previous question. Its my first time using this website and well impressed with all the speedy responses! Cheers! (push fit valves)

One last thing:

I've had a look under the floor boards in the bathroom to find any earthing cable on the central heating pipes but I cant see any. Should I join (via clamps and 4mm earth cable) the 'Inlet' and 'Outlet' pipes of the radiator?

Reading the responses its sounds like I need to do this, but how close to the radiator do I have to place the clamps?

Also, aren't there metal components in the push fit valves that could conduct a current? ('')

Thanks, Bob

You can get a little clamp that clips right onto the radiator itself (at the bottom so it doesnt show. Buy them everywhere.

Good point. I have however got the larger clips so would bridging the pipes under the boards still do the job?
