Eastleigh by-election.

Almost as many people in Eastleigh voted for UKIP as voted for the Libs, yet the seat was taken by the Libs.

But not quite as many people voted for them. (or are you one of these people who believe in PR ? So the person who doesn't get the majority of the votes could get in by default?

I wonder if the idle or stupid that never vote will get off their butts and vote UKIP?

Yes. I think PR would represent the wishes of the electorate better. In Eastleigh, for example, roughly a third of the people (Lib) got what they voted for and the other two thirds (Con, UKIP, Lab) didn't. Of course, that would mean we wouldn't be voting for one local individual any more and I'm not sure how people would react to that.

They could well hold sway in a hung parliment which way would they lean?

Towards whoever will get us out of the EU and stop free immigration, I presume, or at least whoever will offer a referendum.

would Labour sell thier soul's to get in power?

No of course not. They don't have souls!

My error .more likely to be attention seeking, career psycopath with a good suit and tie

Voting merely means turning the dung heap and letting another little sh*it rise to the top for a while...

Anyone who votes (especially under our corrupt gerrymandered system) is at best completely deluded...

And the people who are really in charge are laughing at every one of you, as they continue to pick your pockets...

So what would happen at the next General Election if,,,,, Not one voter attended the polling stations whatsoever? I know it will never happen, but hypothetically what would happen if the electorate (as one) decided as a protest, not to cast one single vote on polling day??
Would we be left governmentless?

the present masters would stay in power as there would be no one with more votes than they have so no need to dissolve parliament as they are not loosers
or perhaps a hung parliament with all groups having equal say

Not sure about that, I think parliament is dissolved before a GE. Anyhow, you don't need a government, Belgium has proved this to be the case. If all politicians were to simply cease to exist, I pretty much guarantee, you wouldn't notice it.

Anyone been to Belgium lately ?.

Dont seem like there is much fun going on there these days .

Eddie M - !! owt else Belgium is famouse for .
