Hi everyone,
I am planning a patio of Indian sandstone, and I intend to finish the cut edge with a single flush row of bricks laid on their sides.
However, I recall from earlier experience that frost damage can occur. I like the effect produced by real bricks, but I am told that for complete frost resistance (F2) I need engineering bricks. To my eye, these look too smooth, hard and perfect!
Are there frost-proof pavers around which look like real bricks? What would other members suggest? I even thought of using a dpc underneath normal F1 bricks, so that they dried more quickly before frost, but I imagine that would make them too easy to loosen.
